We have Lacus Clyne finally succumbing to her own power and becoming the PLANT chairwoman, and all is well in the SEED universe... But wait a minute! How are people going to make a movie with Kira and co. having most of the major factions by the neck? Surely, one (or many) of them must bring in another conflict. So this would be a perfect time to bring out our "what-if" scenarios about the (i-don't-know-when-it's-coming) movie.

Plot:

1. Something's got to give: Seriously, if we look at what happened at the end of Destiny, you would notice that potential conflict can only arise from small groups and not major factions, Which can only mean that there'd be dissent among these small groups about the Clyne Administration's action. But simply put: They're not going to win against a team of Kira, Athrun, Shinn, and Mwu. It helps to have numbers, but guess what? these 4 have the whole ZAFT/Orb army. So this begs the question, which major group is about to make a face-heel turn.

2. The EA has to go back Strong. The Earth Alliance has been beaten to dust, revitalizing it would be a real in-Universe-saver. Add in a charismatic leader who can beat lacus to the punch(<strike>Preferably a Red-haired Natural[so what!? Mwu Survived didn't he? Plus Kira would now have a bonafide conlflict inside him]</strike>), IT WOULD BE GOLD.

Characters:

1.Enough Already: Kira is already a gary stu, Lacus is already a Mary Sue. make them human again! Particularly Kira, since he's the main character and he was actually good as a human(I'd take his antics in Strike and Crying , over Jesus Yamato). Giving them a personal(heck intrapersonal conflict) or anything that would make them look human would definitely be a huge improvement over Destiny's 'LACUS CLYNE-WINS! FLAWLESS VIKTORY'

2.Make them more useful: Shinn and Lunamaria better not end up like side-dishes. Or else, Destiny is definitely a waste of screentime. And an even better suggestion, make them defect to a side that perfectly coincides with what they fight for, enough of them slurping on Lacus dust!

Technology/Mecha:

1.13 Guns are enough: Lacus should just refit Strike-Freedom, seriously. Kira doesn't need more deterioration of skill. I say put him on lesser suits once in a while to let him get his 'mojo'(that was lost when he got Freedom) back. A homecoming to Strike would do wonders though (see plot suggestion #2 at the strikethrough).

2.Better Ship battles, please: Yes, we know that Gundam is all about Gundam... but Please, you have capable ships and having great ship battles would make it all the more epic.

Another Twilight

My life seems to get from one standoff to another. I don't know why, but after today's exams. I was obviously in another one. I used to be psychologically stronger back then. What could've changed that?

I am now again experiencing another battle within me. I feel that I can't finish what I started because of this and it hurts. Sometimes, it's hard to say that I've tried my best when it all crashes down like something on freefall.

Back then, I had friends who I can rely on, friends who really care. Now I have no one to turn to anymore. My parents doubt me, my siblings can't trust me and I'm about to hurt them again. Why now, when I'm three semesters short of Graduating? Is this a plague I can't erase from within me. Should I just give up my dreams so that everything goes smoothly? I may have free will, but every decision I make ends up hurting the ones I care about. I just want to make them happy. But how?

I want to kneel and beg God that I want a chance at redemption, another chance to be 'me' again. That Video session in the AVR was an indication that I clearly want the 'me' that was back then. I want to see the people I care about happy. But It came at my own expense and somewhat destroyed my connections.

The people who do know the "real" Eidrian are probably also wondering why this turned out to be. I sincerely know that my old friends are wondering why I've been in freefall. I know that they have been seeing a different guy who does not even care. For the last two years of being in Letran, I never actually gave myself a chance. I always gave it to luck and potential. I know clearly now that I lack something. Given another chance, I'll give it my all at starting point. But if me being a Letranite ends, I'll just seek to become the Best Programmer I can be.

The forgotten heroine and the true manipulator

Nowadays; when people talk about SEED, Fans would obviously think of Kira Yamato and his achievements on and off the battlefield, his storied relationship with Lacus Clyne, and his eventual Status as the best pilot of CE.

On the /m/ side of things, he has always been ridiculed. His skill nothing but beamspam, and for most of the time, he's been trolled as the most plothacked character in the history of Gundam.

But as we take away the peelings of Plot hacks and Gundam nonsense, we clearly see what Kira is, essentially.

Kira was never the beam-spamming hypocrite during day one, for one, he just wanted to protect his friends with the best of his abilities. It was not his pew pew beamspam that made him plow through his opposition for the first parts of SEED, what we actually witnessed was a good pilot for a beginner; someone who actually uses impressive tactics and skills to overwhelm an opponent. But during the later half of the series, his machine changed. Freedom had too much to offer that Strike never had, which is why Kira was reduced to following the beamspam way.

But what made Kira become such a great pilot during that time? What made him push himself to the limit? The answer lies where most of us never dared to look, the answer was the unknown, infamous heroine of SEED. Most of her actions have been seen by many as grievous and unforgivable sins. She has been branded by many as the harlot who manipulated Kira. In other words, my introduction of the often misunderstood and hidden heroine of SEED can be summed in this phrase:

"Without her sick love for Kira, there wouldn't be SEED"

Yes, It has been the heroine most of us wouldn't dare to look at. Fllay Allster.

Fllay to the masses has been misjudged by many to be Kira's manipulator. But let me ask you this: How is Kira less manipulated now? Yes he fights for "What he believes in" but do you honestly think that "what he believes in" was rooted on him and his will alone? This is what Lacus has done to Kira, she goes far beyond Fllay. She has willed Kira to become what she wants him to be. Yes we don't see blackmailing, or other things that would be connected to manipulation: BUT there's one thing we are forgetting.... Kira was at his weakest point when Lacus manipulated him. He was close to breaking point when Lacus made a move, the move which people didn't see as manipulation. But to put things into perspective; Lacus took advantage of Kira's then fragile mind.

As doubts of his origins and his life become more weights on his ever-increasing burden, Kira could not handle any stress anymore, but what happens after? Kira fails to protect someone of great importance to him. This to him is his breaking point.

After a little time in before Destiny, Kira tried to live a peaceful life, but Lacus, yes Lacus again makes his life complicated. She, banking on Kira's inability to save Fllay during that day, had her way with him. She knew Kira would be bended on the subject of protecting her. Yes, that scene where Kira mistook Lacus for Fllay was indication that Kira does not want to lose anyone close to him anymore. Lacus took it as a chance to make Kira do her bidding.

I know its one of the sides of SEED one does not know about and probably people will say I'm writing this because of my allegiances to the Fllay x Kira pairing, but I was once a Lacus x Kira fan myself, and being on both sides of the coin helped me over it. Sure there were bad times with Fllay, but one can't deny that Lacus has her manipulative side too.

As for Fllay, her memory, though unseen will always be a reminder to Kira, no matter how the series implies how she's forgotten. I will always remember that Lacus' manipulation is a scar of being unable to protect her. The forgotten heroine of SEED will always remind Kira that she will always protect him.

Changing views about Gundam SEED

I loved Gundam SEED, but for different reasons back then. When I First watched it, I was really wowed by the awesome l33tness of Kira. I used to not care whether his characterization was essentially thrown out the window during Destiny. Three years after Destiny aired, I was absorbed into a whole new understanding where the unseen is seen.

-Lacus Clyne: Savior or Traitor?

Another thing of change was my reaction to Lacus' 'greatness'. I used to be astonished by Lacus' wit, I still am... but looking at it differently paints Lacus in a more sinister, less benevolent nature as opposed to the pop-star turned politician that she is frequently hailed.

More on this in my post about Lacus and Fllay....

About my SEED fanfic...

It's in full throttle now... I am filled with excitement as I'll learn new things. It seems that the road becomes tougher but with enough dedication, I'll have a chance at glory this time.

My inner otaku is also looking forward to a lot of things, particularly the announcement of this new Gundam series, "Mobile Suit Gundam 00". There's also the fact that many sequels are coming like Zero no Tsukaima, Kiddy Grade, and of course Shana.Bleach has been bleh nowadays and I've had enough of the Shounen genre, If I am trying one out, it's Fullmetal Alchemist.

So...What about the first semester? It's always fun learning from the computer lab assistants, I learn something new every time I talk to them. But I am curious with my logic and basic assembly language so I'll train myself to master that subject. History will be great since I'm a history fan, I am mesmerized by the events that made our world what it is today. Statistics? I'm going to have a field day with this, I think I'm confident enough to study it since it involves no more algebra...

English 101 Part1

As part of the requirements for English 101, I'm going to put an entry to this blog...

I was done watching GSD Special Edition 3 when I was doing this.....

Analysis: My current class part 1

This year, I have more reason to celebrate over things that I haven't realized for a short while. I haven't payed any attention to the people i used to care too much about. But nonetheless, I'm actually becoming a better person as time goes by. I've realized that some people are willing to give up their dignity just to be called a "person" inside the circle. I don't have anything against friendship, but people need to see that there's more to it than just sharing commonality.

I am afraid of today's generation, what I see in my class is so chilling. My classmates when I was still in HS knew what they were and never needed norms and peer pressure to dictate them. Of course this has alot to do with how our school built it's students. It's no surprise that most of the people coming from my batch have their own unique tone. My current classmates are quite the opposite, they don't seem to understand how things work in the real world. They tend to over-associate with each other not knowing that when they take part in cheating... they don't really solve problems. They just make them bigger.

A Fanfic....

Today, my imagination started again... For so many times, it still is recurring in my head. People always think of these things and that is natural. However, I have always given my life so much to discover this. I have tried so many paths that I felt lost after the biggest bump in the road. Since then, I try not to see myself in a position that feels unchanged.

I always had this like of trying something unheard of. That is why I always end up at the weird side of things. It is perhaps for this reason I, most likely get misunderstood. I have always been viewed for being alone as some kind of eccentric. It is sad but to notice. Nevertheless, It is really bugging me to see that people take too much pride for what they do to please the group. I have never seen so many people so eager to be a part of norms. Norms which dictate what people want you to be. But where’s the consideration of the individual, Where’s the essence of “you”? Imagine a world where all people are alike. It is quite boring to live in a world without diversity.

People have always misunderstood me of how different I am, but I myself am wondering how mirrored images make fun of me. To put it more understandably, I do not really mind. I have always believed that you are what you want to be, not someone who is a copy of a person. I believe that giving each other space and giving each other worth is the true meaning of a friend. A friend is someone who would care if something happens to you and will notify you of his identity. He is not afraid of showing himself to the other. He is also not bothered by the essence of a person, and rather understands it.

Friends are important people, but their importance does not mean you strip yourself of your essence. Rather, you should put a mark on your friend, the same way he did on you.

One down, One last to go

Midterm Exams... I know it seems retarded to you,but people seem to not ask this.

You need to answer this question because you need to see what kind of passion you have.

At first impulse, I was a casual fan of a diet composed of mostly Shounen anime. I never really had that reason that a otaku would have. I never watched anything else but Dragon Ball, Ghostfighter, Gundam W... Never really cared when there was no action involved... Then came one of the most important moments in my life. I was only a pretender then, never really cared for anything but my one true love. Yes, pretending was a great job... but when my love asked me: "What do you want to be? Do you want to be "you" or you would rather become somebody else" that's when I realized that She loved me... and though there's nothing romantic or mushy about it, I felt liberated by her words. It was I aeriolewinters, from obsessed Boyband fan to Poser, and finally as a true otaku. What made me decide?

It was Rorouni Kenshin at first. I remember watching it when I was 14, I totally loved the story. It really was the first anime I cared about. I even went overboard one time f not eating my lunch to save money for the big field trip to buy some VCDs from Comic Alley. The next big step was my friend introducing me to an owner of a Computer Shop which was also an Anime Shop. I bought "Love Hina" and "Chobits" and soon it became a really big hobby, I collected series ranging from Card Captor Sakura to Inuyasha back then...

The last step to becoming an otaku was my interest to actually knowing what the story tells you. It was Gundam SEED that completed the transformation. I assessed the stories and the messages from the anime so that I could do a critical analysis of the anime. SEED opened alot of windows for me mentally and psychologically. I was now aware of Ethical and Racial problems faced by the real world. It also opened up another gate to another level, the Internet.

The internet is a paradise for most Otaku, since you can acquire many anime via Bittorrent, iRC , Limewire, and of course Youtube. I started out acquiring more popular series like Naruto, Gundam SEED Destiny, or Bleach. But I got more involved because of my 2nd home: Animesuki. Animesuki was a real haven of brilliant... and not so brilliant minds. Most of the anime I watch are well-known in Animesuki.

The Internet also made me more aware of everything anime-related: Doujin games, Seiyuus, J-pop, and of course... Manga. It came to a point that I make it sure that my favorite Seiyuus were included in the anime I'm trying out.

In the end, Anime definitely has changed my life. The reason I watch it is because of the lessons it gives me. Not only the simple lessons in life, but most of the time the complex ones. It will always be my legacy as I grow old.

Rabbit Season! Gin-sama not just proves that she's worthy to become alice, but she also proves to be such a compassionate friend, which she has already shown in Traumend(for Megu) and of course in Ouverture. She's also made it to my most liked Characters list.

But the low here was of course, Shinku. She's tactless all the time. Suiseiseki described her best. She's not that evil, but please don't think that you're on another level, that's just arrogance! But while Shinku did irk me, I also think that Rozen put so much favoritism on Shinku that he spoiled the doll.

All in all, I'm looking forward to the climactic change that will occur to Shinku and Gin's lives. And in the mean time, Merry Christmas to all of you. n_n

It's Christmas time ~DESU

A very Merry Christmas to all of you.
